Foil Moulds and Cores

With a long history in the sailing and windsurfing industries, Styrotech CNC has a well respected name for the design and machining of rudder and centerboard moulds and cores.

Styrotech CNCs’ consistency and accuracy is reflected in Mackay Boats - manufacturer of Olympic, world and national championship winning racing dinghy's - choosing Styrotech CNC as supplier of all machine cutting services for rudder, centre board and wing cores. Typical core materials used for machining include closed cell foams such as PVC, Divinicell and Airex as well as Cedar and a range of other timbers.

In addition Styrotech CNC have the ability to create, from scratch, CAD files of already existing foils, utilise original drawings to draw new CAD files of a foil, or design and machine entirely new designs of foil. In each case the CAD of these foils can be supplied, or machined and supplied to you as a ready to laminate foil core.
