This software provides Styrotech CNC with the in-house technological capacity to leverage the maximum possible abilities of our 3 and 5 axis CNC routing machines.

AlphaCam router is a full-featured CAM solution for manufacturers wanting fast, efficient machining toolpaths and the generation of reliable, machine “ready-to-cut” CNC code. Tooling and machining techniques unique to the industry are accommodated by AlphaCams dedicated router modules, resulting in software that allows Styrotech CNC to maximize the capabilities its three CNC machines.
     

  Solidworks is the world’s leading mechanical design software. Widely used, Solidworks’ ability to produce ‘solid’ CAD models allows Styrotech CNC to design virtually anything, convert the now ‘solid’ objects shapes of the design into machine capable shapes, and then machine them. Solidworks is also able to verify the compatibility of finished CAD and processed scan data (obtained via FormScan 3D) against the customers’ requirements.
     

  Rhino can create, edit, analyze, document, render, animate, and translate NURBS* curves, surfaces, and solids, point clouds, and polygon meshes. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size beyond those of your hardware.
     
     MaxSurf (including Prefit). The leading marine industry design program since 1981, Styrotech CNC brings over 25 years years experience in using MaxSurf. Styrotech CNC is able to use and apply Maxsurf as an integral part of the machining process and, when combined with Prefit, MaxSurf has been proven useful in turning simple boat shapes and scan data into symmetrical CAD models that can then be machined to the highest level of accuracy.
     
     The standard software used to post-process scan data, Rapidform XOR is used to create native, editable CAD models directly from scan data which can then be used to machine. XOR uses proven solid and surface modeling techniques to create CAD models from point clouds, polygon meshes as produced by FormScan 3D’s ATOS White Light Digitiser, thus giving Styrotech CNC the ability to interpret, modify and machine a huge range of data supplied in a wide range of CAD formats.
