  • Offshore Cruising Tenders OC 300

    The OC300 started as an idea, based on experience of what was required to make a good offshore cruising tender. The idea was developed by Russell Carlyon, designed by Kevin Trotter, who created the CAD model for the mould which was then cut by Styrotech CNC.

  • Scale Model Boat & RC Yacht Hulls

    Styrotech CNC has made a wide range of hulls for radio-controlmodel yachts and scale model ships.

  • Architectural: Marellan Drive, Red Beach.

    With construction commencing in late 2009, the home under construction at Marellan Drive, Red Beach, has fully exploited the capabilities of CNC technology in order to create a totally unique architectural experience.

  • Restoration: 1936 Jaguar SS Airliner

    Combining the technical abilities of CNC machining with 3D digital scanning extends the capabilities of both technologies. An excellent example of this is the project that Styrotech and FormScan 3D worked on in January 2014, namely the re-construction of a 1936 Jaguar SS Airliner car. The car, built in the 1930's, epitomises the style and grace of the era and is now recognised as one of the 'classic' cars of the era.

  • Product Design - Beehive Chair

    Styrotech CNC were approached by Graham Roebeck in conjunction with David Trubridge design to machine the parts of an innovative and unique chair.

  • Standup Paddleboards, Fins and Paddles.

    As the Standup Paddleboard (SUP) sport has developed, Styrotech CNC’s experience in the design and construction of windsurf and surf boards has seen Styrotech become involved in the design of not only SUP boards, but also fins and paddles.

  • "Ngataringa" Transom

    In late 2011 Styrotech CNC was approached asking if it was possible to re-create the transom of an ‘A’ class yacht as part of a larger restoration.

  • Warwick 75' Sloop (Aquamagic Yachts Ltd.).

    Styrotech CNC provided frames, bulkheads and stringers as well as a mould for the deck and superstructure to Aquamagic Marine Boat Builders Ltd. as part of their construction of a Warwick 75' Performance Cruising Sloop.

  • Project KINA

    With the objective of creating a memorable, eye-catching and culturally significant piece to commemorate it being the 25th public sculpture to be installed on Wellingtons waterfront, Nga Kina comprises nine giant KINA shells, each varying in scale from 2 – 3 metres in diameter.

  • Topographic Map

    Styrotech CNC have machined several topographic models, not least of which is that made for Lumen Digital in Wellington.

  • Rowing Trophy

    Demonstrating the possibilities of combining the capabilities of FormScan 3D’s 3D scanning with Styrotech CNC’s precision machining, this Rowing Trophy is an exact, half scale replica of a sculling blade mounted on a base to create a unique and innovative centerpiece for a trophy.
