As the Standup Paddleboard (SUP) sport has developed, Styrotech CNC’s experience in the design and construction of windsurf and surf boards has seen Styrotech become involved in the design of SUP boards, fins and paddles.
Each SUP board concept has been created using a combination of 30 years experience in board and yacht design, and the finest software technology available on the market today, namely MaxSurf and Solidworks. The results speak for themselves – they’re some of the most innovative and creative SUP designs available and, when combined with Styrotech CNC’s precision machining skillls, including the ability to cut bottom shape, rocker, deck, pockets for inserts (e.g. for leg rope, or fin) and rail tuck exactly as the designer intended, the result is stunning. Straight off of the machine, it’s only the smallest amount of finishing needed before the blank is ready to take to the next stage of construction.
The same background and technology has been applied to the design and machining of SUP fins. Made from G10 material (compressed fiberglass) each fin design is durable and reflects the requirements of its intended use, be it flat water racing or in the waves.SUP paddles are a critical and highly personal piece of equipment needed for standup paddling. With the ability to customize the length of the shaft and customize the shape of the blade, Styrotech CNC designed SUP paddles are highly effective and competitive.
